Lazing on the beach isn’t always enough for active holidaymakers on a camping vacation in the Basque Country. If you’re an adventurer, you can take part in a variety of activities, such as those on offer at Oihana Park. This is a large adventure park in the Basque Country.
All about Oihana Park
Located in the town of Urrugne, in the historic region of the Basque Country, Oihana Park is a large adventure park offering a wide range of entertainment. There’s paintball in the heart of the greenery and three accrobranche courses. These are activities not to be missed during a stay in the area. There’s also a snack restaurant.

What does Oihana Park have to offer?
Tree climbing courses
Three tree-climbing courses are available in Oihana Park:
- The adult course is made up of 4 levels of difficulty between 3 and 20 metres above ground level, and can be completed in around 2 hours 30 minutes.
- The family trail, which takes around 2 hours. It’s designed for parents who want to spend some quality time with their children.
- Tikki Park is designed for children aged 3 to 6. It’s a completely safe course with a maximum height of one meter, and takes around 2 hours to complete.
All accrobranche courses are secured with a set of regulated equipment. There are patented carabiners that ensure connection to the cable, even during changes. The park complies with the most stringent safety standards. Experienced professionals are employed to supervise participants.
During the summer months, it is possible to take part in nocturnes on the adult course. They take place every Tuesday and Thursday.
This is a very authentic way of enjoying nature in the cool of a summer’s night.
Paintball
To play paintball, you need to form two teams. The well-protected players are equipped with paintball launchers. It’s a game of strategy and concentration. And of course, it’s all in good fun! The park’s three wooded playgrounds cover an area of some 4,000 square metres.
Rates and opening hours
- Those aged 12 and over can play the adult course for €24 per person.
- Under-12s can play the family course for €18 per person.
- The Tikki Park children’s course is for 3 to 6 year-olds and costs €15 per person.
- Over 12s can play at night for €33 per person.
Paintball rates are different:
- For adults (12 years and over), the price is €22 per person. This price includes all necessary equipment (protectors and semi-automatic launcher) and a pack of 100 marbles.
- For children aged 7 to 11, the price is €15 and the pack contains 50 marbles and safety equipment.
- Additional packs of marbles can be purchased. An extra 100 marbles costs 5€, 200 marbles 9€, 500 marbles 20€ and 2000 marbles 70€.
You can also take advantage of our smart passes, which include an accrobranche course and a paintball session. For a family exploration pass, the price is €30 per person (including the family course). The adult exploration pass costs €42 and includes the adult course. The adventure pass includes accrobranche and paintball by night for 50€.
Schedules for the current year are as follows:
- 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. July and August (daily).
- from 1pm to 6pm during the All Saints’ vacation (every day).
- from 1pm to 6pm on Wednesdays and from 10:30am to 6pm on weekends, except during school vacations.

How do I get to Oihana Park?
From our campsite, it’s a 6-minute drive to the park on the Route de la Glacière in Urrugne. As it’s right next door, your camping vacation in the Basque Country is an opportunity to have fun with your family and friends.
